Dan Savage reacts to President Obama's "It Gets Better" video, saying he appreciates the president reaching out to bullied LGBT kids, in an interview with CNN.

"The president of the United States has the power to do more than assure LGBT kids that it will get better," Savage says. "The president of the United States has the power to make it better for LGBT adults and children."

Savage says the president can do this if he stops appealing "don't ask, don't tell" and defending DOMA in court and keeps the promises he made to LGBT Americans during the 2008 election campaign.
