The owner of the New England Patriots, Robert Kraft, will address Boston's LGBT business community, making it the first time a local team owner has headlined a major event for a gay audience.
Kraft will address the crowd at the LGBT Executive Networking Night, hosted by Boston Spirit magazine February 23.
Spirit publisher David Zimmerman told theBoston Herald that Kraft was invited because of his "good business sense" and trailblazing career.
"I expect that he will talk a little bit about the current business climate and the economy," Zimmerman said. "And maybe about the social barrier that exists between professional sports and the gay community, and we'll see where that goes."
