Neighborhood leaders are considering naming a much-loved stairway in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silver Lake for gay activist Harry Hay.
The Silver Lake neighborhood council will discuss the matter at its meeting Wednesday. Silver Lake remains a popular neighborhood for gays and lesbians in Los Angeles.
