Last night's episode of The Daily Show had Jon Stewart celebrating the end of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy in perfect Comedy Central fashion.

When talking about lesbian, bisexual, and gay soldiers re-enlisting, Stewart joked: "That's how ridiculous this policy was. The apology for the affront is, 'Alright, sorry, you can go to Afghanistan and fight for your country.'"

Later in the segment, Stewart offered up footage of a gay soldier coming out to his father, who promised the son, "I will always love you, and I will always be proud of you."

Stewart's reply? "What kind of monsters have unconditional love for their families?"
