A man hoping to engage the services of a transgender prostitute got more than he bargained for in the form of a thieving accomplice hiding in the closet.
The Star-Ledger reports that when the man entered the room at the LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Fairfield, New Jersey, he was surprised by a 20-year-old Jersey City man who burst from concealment with a stun gun.
The two struggled and the victim surrendered $60 before escaping the room.
Police were called and arrests were made. Asia Snowden, 24, the alleged prostitute, and Anthony Graves, the man from the closet, were taken into custody and charged with robbery, drug possession, and other offenses. Snowden was also charged with prostitution.
