DNA Links Suspect to 2004 Rape of Trans Man
A speech- and hearing-impaired man who is awaiting trial for the 2010 rape of a deaf woman in Big Rapids, Mich., is now wanted in connection with the 2004 kidnapping and rape of a transgender man in Pittsburgh.
Christopher Lauer, 30, was recently linked to the Pittsburgh crime through DNA gathered in the Big Rapids case.
According to police, the victim in the Pittsburgh crime was pulled into a van, bound with duct tape, and raped while attending an event for hearing-impaired people.
Lauer is currently free on bail.
