Older couples who still get it on tend to be happier with their relationships and their lives than others who don't have sex regularly, a new study indicates.
Sixty percent of adults over 65 who reported having sex more than once a month said they felt "very happy" in life. Only 40% of those who had not had sex in the last year reported being "very happy." Additionally, 80% of couples who had frequent sex said they were happy in their relationship.
The study by the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University does not indicate whether happier people have more sex or whether frequent sex makes people happier, according to Live Science.Â
