Philip Rivers, quarterback for the San Diego Chargers has come out in favor of Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, his campaign announced this month.
Rivers, an all-pro quarterback from Decatur, Ala., said he supports Santorum "because of his stance on issues that attack vital Christian values our country was founded upon: no abortion, upholding traditional marriage, defending religious freedom, no euthanasia."
Santorum touted the endorsement shortly before winning the Alabama Republican primary.
