It's Wednesday folks, and I hope it's been a good one!
Audience Editor Edgar Ramirez here, back in your inbox with a question for you all: If you had $100 million, what would you spend it on?
If you're Elon Musk, apparently the answer is to help Republicans retain power.
Jacob Ogles reports that Musk's early midterm spending appears focused almost exclusively on attacks involving transgender rights.
America PAC, the political group backed by Musk, launched an advertising blitz in four states attacking Democrats over their support for transgender athletes and gender-affirming care. For those who have followed Musk, this doesn't come as much of a surprise as he has repeatedly publicly attacked his estranged transgender daughter, activist and model Vivian Wilson.
Wilson recently spoke with our sister magazine Out about the midterms, saying "we are being employed as the scapegoat to make people forget about the economy, the Iran war, and the Epstein files."
You can find Jacob's full story here and Wilson's interview with Out here.
Until next time!
