Lumbertwink’s playful photos of bears at play get us in the mood for Portland’s big beard-a-palooza.
Could there be a better ground zero for beards and bears than Portland, Ore.?
Join the hirsute at the 2nd Annual Beardlandia as they celebrate a big weekend of events and entertainment to showcase all of what Portland has to offer. Beards, cubs, otters, chubs, chasers, and friends from around the globe come to Portland for one big weekend! Last year was a giant success, and organizers predict 2017's weekend will be even bigger and better. There will be Bearracuda events, brunch, ice cream, hikes, play parties, and a beard contest, among many other activities. If you can, go and support them, because we love the photos afterward.
Check out the website for more information. You know you're in the right place when the T-shirt page announces, "XL and 2XL Sold Out!"
Photos here from 2016 provided by Lumbertwink. It hosts the opening night event at Analog Theater. Special thanks to Wayne Bund for his help. Remember, you can't spell beard without bear.
