99 Photos of the White Party Pleasure Principle

The legendary Palm Springs, Calif., White Party is not without controversy. But if you look at the photos from the past couple of years (including the new Puerto Vallarta White Party) you will see a variety of men from legal age to well into their 60s. We have many clean and sober friends who attend the party every year. You will see all races represented. You will see thousands of men who have come together to connect, to be part of a tribe, and to participate in the kinds of pleasure that only we as gay and bi men can have. 

Taking time to have a joyful, dance-filled orgy of fun, and yes, sex, is more important than ever. Jeffrey Sanker has been working his ass off delivering great gay parties since the 1980s. Over the years, Jeffrey has also helped launch the careers of hundreds of new and up and coming DJs and performers. This prompted Next magazine to comment, “The two best friends a DJ can have are Madonna and Jeffrey Sanker.” 

Ally, superstar, and mother of a gay son, Belinda Carlisle is on the roster this year. The party runs May 5 through 8, so it may be time to put down the bag of Doritos (or not), and start getting some cute outfits together. We suggest bringing the Resistance to the White Party this year with some great protest-themed wear. Remember, gathering as powerful, self-affirming gay men by the thousands is an act of resistance. Just like our sisters at The Dinah (March 29-April 2).
