Fluidity/solidity, transparent/opaque, muscle/soft tissue. Bracho Bracho explores the sensual opposites. Read more below.
What would dozens of hair-like butterfly feet feel like on your spine and flanks? What does luxurious lace feel like as it slithers over your goose bumps? Can you feel the pulse of blood and testosterone in your arms and fists as you punch your opponent? Fernando Bracho Bracho seems to want us to consider these journeys of sensuality in his photos of men.
Fernando Bracho Bracho is a Venezuelan journalist and a freelance photographer. He was a prize winner at the Seguros Catatumbo Photography Biennial in 1990. He was also a member of the group awarded the Monsenor Pellin Prize in 1990 and the National Prize of Journalism in 1991. He received the Grand Prix of the Salon of Visual Arts of the City of Coro in 2007 and the Order of Artistic Merit was bestowed on him by the University of Zulia in 2011. He has been a still photographer in many Venezuelan cinema productions. He has more than a dozen published books and has participated in numerous exhibitions in his country and abroad.
