Here's how it works. Individual bars and groups around the Southern California area vote for their own candidate for Mr LA Leather 2018. You can see a list of these feeder contests here. Then the big Mr. Leather LA contest takes place during the Leather Pride festivities, March 18-25. That winner will then go on to the International Mr. Leather contest and weekend in Chicago in May of this year.
The event pictured here took place at the LA Eagle to choose Mr. SoCal Leather. This year's contest featured MC: Don Mike, Judges; Ken Bradley, Eric Slayton, Shad Cruz, Xavier Espejo, Chris Jones, Tom Schneck, and Cito DaMoude; Den Daddy: Jose Magana; Judge's Boy: Ernie Munguia; and Tallymaster: Daniel Josue Soto.
Congratulations to Taz Efeek, Mr. SoCal Leather 2018, who will go on to compete in Chicago.
