The seventh annual Orthodox Calendar is as dirty and outrageous as ever, but its values are impeccable.
This message came to us from Bucharest, Romania:
"Around the world, nearly identical, so-called 'pro-family' campaigns with an anti-human rights agenda are taking over the public agenda. Under the guise of 'traditional family values,' these groups are using a religious-based speech to severely limit female sexual andreproductive rights.
"Romania's very own Coalitia pentru Familie is one such group pushing back on LGBTQ rights and gender equality. To them, diversity and respect for all seem to be an attack on tradition, faith, national pride, and family.
"Enough! The OC Art Project is committed to fighting these false prophets, and the LGBTQ community supports and champions women and their rights. For the 7th edition of our calendar, mirroring the famous bra protest and Pussy Riot, we invited some of the hunkiest Orthodox men to take their clothes off and bear it all.
"Order your very own sexy wall calendar from our online store, at Orthodox-Calendar.com. You can choose the Classic Version, for EUR19.99, or our Explicit Version, for EUR29.99.
"By purchasing the2019 edition of the Orthodox Calendar, you're supporting our campaign to stop violence against women. Learn more here.
"The OC Art Project began life as a celebration of diversity and freedom from dogma. Seven years on, it's still the only organized global effort against homophobia in the Orthodox region. Over time, our pictures have provoked, amused, stirred controversy, upset or avenged you. We hope #OC2019 is equally upsetting to some, brilliant to many, and carrying the same strong, loud and proud message to all. We're still driven by the same belief that art can empower people to question traditional forms of authority."
