Discharged Navy servicemember Landon Wilson launched a campaign on Monday aimed at crowdfunding a documentary about the forced secrecy that trans service members endure.

Earlier this month, former OutServe/SLDN executives Allyson Robinson and Zeke Stokes released an updated trailer for the film, TransMilitary, in honor of International Transgender Day of Visibility.

The group's hope is to apply pressure to the U.S. government to end the ban on transgender military personnel. A recent Palm Center study concluded that the ban -- which the military has repeatedly stated it has no immediate plans to repeal -- has no medical basis, as has been asserted by the Department of Justice.
