Kelly Clarkson Belts Golden Girls, Mary Tyler Moore, Cheers Themes

Kelly Clarkson

Clarkson kicked off the second season of her talk show with the theme songs to some classic sitcoms.

Fresh off her Daytime Emmy win, Kelly Clarkson kicked off the second season of her wildly successful talk show on Monday. In her "Kellyoke" segment, where she crushes covers of songs from every genre, she took on a medley of classic TV theme songs.

The segment begins with Clarkson in bed and flipping through channels as every station seems to bombard her with more bad news from the past year. A dream sequence takes her to the set of Cheers, where she sings that theme song before she steps into the world of The Golden Girls with "Thank You for Being a Friend." Next, she sings the Full House theme, and Bob Saget, who starred in the series, appears.

When Saget asks why she's so down, she explains that she's blue because she misses her friends. That's when he guides her to the set of her show and sings the Mary Tyler Moore Show theme "Love Is All Around" to her. Eventually, she kicks it into high gear and belts the classic sitcom song to kick off her show.
