Provincetown Bear Week 2022 Wiener Roast

Who doesn't like bears and their wieners?

Hosted this year by RuPaul's Drag Race star Nina West as well as LGBTQ+ politician Brian Sims and Massachusetts state Senator Julian Cyr, Provincetown's Bear Week celebration was one for the books.

Held in mid-July, the wiener roast raises funds for the Provincetown Business Guild, which produces Provincetown's Pride, Carnival, Holly Folly, and First Light celebrations.

        This summer, I found myself on a boat deep in the Stockholm Archipelago, dancing (rather, lurching) to ABBA’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” when the playlist faltered. A collective groan emanated from those in my Stockholm Pride group who were on deck.
