Judge Demands King Murder Trial Begin

LAWRENCE LARRY KING X390 (FAMILY) | ADVOCATE.COM

Two and a half years after the shooting death of gay California teen, Lawrence King, a jury may finally decide the fate of his alleged killer, Brandon McInerney.

The Los Angeles Times reports McInerney defense attorney Scott Wippert was denied another continuance in the trial by Ventura County Superior Court judge Charles Campbell. Siding with prosecutors, Campbell said on Wednesday that the defense had ample time to prepare for the trial of McInerney, who was 14 when he allegedly shot 15-year-old King on Feb. 12, 2008 at E.O. Green Middle School in Oxnard.

McInerney is being charged as an adult with first-degree murder with a gun enhancement charge and a hate crime allegation. The victim, an openly gay teen who would occasionally wear high-heels and make-up, often clashed with McInerney, especially in the days leading up to the incident.

A jury will be picked for the trial before an official start date is set.

This story is heart breaking. While I do agree with the need for sex education in the schools I also feel that blaming poor parenting on teachers is just wrong. This kid was 14 when he willfully murdered someone. Where the fuck were his parents??? As far as Jonathan is concerned, he posts here often and I think he is just a bitter queen. If he is really a parent, than God help us when his little "men" get older, they will surely land in prison.

Since its inception, this case has really torn me up, and there is nothing, not one thing, right about it. It was wrong that one boy overstepped acceptable social bounds by pushing his emotions on the other boy, it was wrong not only that the other boy shot the first boy but that in his world he had such a stongly negative reaction, and it is wrong that this boy is being tried as an adult. Recently, Fox and other media outlets have sensationalized stories about various school districts beginning sex education at early grades. Given the fact that sexual education is considerably larger than the ins and outs -- no pun intended-- of various physical acts, I strongly support those school district, condemning those parents who oppose it in the same way they oppose some books and other forms of education. All of this could have been prevented though a bit of education into what is acceptable social behavior and how to handle what one considers to be unacceptable social behavior and the f

http://leftcoastflix.com/projects.html a very shocking reality that we, LGBT youth, face in our journey's through elementary, middle, and high schools as well as in college! Jonathan, people like you who raise their children so poorly and with so much hate are the reason why everyday children are murdered, beaten up, or commit suicide. I hope you learn about children who have lost their lives because of the way miserably ignorant parents like you raise kids, who in turn will grow up to be just as horrible parents as you. WE ARE NOT PREDATORS SIR WE ARE HUMAN BEING, WE ARE KIDS! We deserve dignity and respect. I'm sorry for how your kids were treated, but you must remember it was just a hug and if you had any sense you would've taught you're child to express to adults that he feels uncomfortable instead of resorting to violence, but what can you expect from a stereotypical heterosexual meat-head? I think men like you are the ones unqualified to be parents.

Now Jonathan. . . when a girl approaches one of your boys for a date and he isn't interested, will you encourage him to punch her in the mouth? And "homeschooling." That's code for "I don't want my children exposed to minorities or anything else that might add diversity to their lives."

When my boys were in public school, one little gay wanted to hug my son. In this school all the students were hugging each other, due to the fact that the school was being run by women and they forced the boys to hug each other. My boy told him to get lost, so the gay grabbed my son and hugged him. My boy punched him in the mouth. (I raise my boys good). Of course the girls running the school immediately kicked my son out. Even after my son said he was sexually assaulted. So I told my other son to do the same thing the gay did to his brother, to a girl there. Guess what. The feminazi kicked him out too. I homeschool my boys now. The poor boys who have to go to these schools need to protect themselves all they can against these predators who won't take no for an answer.

Every time I see a picture of Lawrence, I grieve for him and cannot help thinking how things would have turned out had both boys had parents who were better equipped to raise their children. Truly a horrible tragedy for everyone involved.

Shortly after this horrendous murder occurred, Ellen covered it on her show (I'd urge all of you to look it up on YouTube). If it weren't for her bringing it up on her show, I may have not been aware of this as I'm on the east coast. This is such a sad story.
