The Army announced Thursday that it has launched an online in-box for soldiers to submit their comments and opinions on "don't ask, don't tell."
According to the Army News Service, the in-box is available only to soldiers through the Army Knowledge Online site and will remain available until September 30 or "until leadership decides the inbox has fulfilled its purpose."

The comments collected will be shared with the Department of Defense Comprehensive Review Working Group, which is currently evaluating the methodology for repealing the ban on openly gay and lesbian soldiers. The results of the DoD's study are due in December.

Yet another wonderful stall tactic on behalf of our fantastic government. How about the joint chiefs just circulate a petition and then have a "soldier's vote" on repealing DADT. Wouldn't that be the "democratic" thing to do? LMFAO!!!

Just another old tried and true, "well yes I know but it wasn't the answer we wanted to hear or was looking for".

Yes,this seems a bit rediculous..seems like they're waiting on hitting a certain percentage of feeback one way or the other...hmm. If a soldier must obey commands and can learn to shoot at people or flick the "proverbial key" ala' Crimson Tide to blow up half a country-shouldnt they just have to serve next to red/white/gay/straight/etc without question? I would think when their tour is over they have the option of not reenlisting if they cant deal with it...Obama is stalling and its completely unnecessary

The old Christofascist bigots in the Pentagon are simply trying to postpone any decisions on DADT until the leadership in the Congress changes. Then, they will report to the Republican-led Congress that they need 50 years to "implement the transition". And Republicans will be, like, "Sure, take your time. You can have a hundred years as far as we are concerned".

Uh, I thought Obama was Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the US. So why doesn't he grow a pair and take charge? Instead of these interminable surveys and high ranking military officials talking against abolishing DADT, all he needs to do is tell the military officials to shut up and accept it and encourage Congress to get off their collective backsides and repeal it.

I do not believe that we need another dumb DADT survey!! They will probably survey this issue to death. And waste some more of the tax payers money. DOD only wants one answer, and I pray that it will lose!!

Sounds like the army hasn't yet gotten the answer it wants, and will not stop until it hears it--no matter that they totally rigged the process.
