Gossip blogger Perez Hilton sat down to talk with Full House star and born again Christian Candace Cameron Bure about her new self-help book, her relationship with Jesus, and his crush on her former co-star John Stamos.
Though Cameron Bure has never actively spoken out against gay rights, her brother, former Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron, is an outspoken opponent of gay rights and has used his "Way of the Master" religious television specials to preach against homosexuality.
Though Cameron Bure has said she also follows "The Way of the Master" -- she even mentions it to Hilton -- the blogger says the mere fact that the actress and author sat down with him suggests she's more open to LGBT's than many religious people.
"The fact that Candace Cameron Bure sat down to speak with ME is telling," Hilton told The Advocate in a statement via email. "That is a very public indication that she is comfortable enough with a homosexual man to come into their pink room to sit down and chat. That's more than can be said for a lot of very religious people!"
Cameron Bure's new book, Reshaping It All, is available now, and she's currently appearing on the ABC Family show, Make It or Break It.
