Their First Kiss Wins the Internet

FACEBOOK/THE AMERICAN MILITARY PARTNER ASSOCIATION

A smooch shared by Spc. Shane Adriano and Pfc. Tristian Resz after they were married in the Greene County, Mo., Courthouse on February 11 has been liked, shared and generated oohs and ahhhs all over the internet.

USA Today reported the couple chose that Springfield location because they wanted something intimate that could accommodate just a few friends to witness their big day.

Little did they know how big it would become once the American Military Partner Association posted the photo on Facebook, a few hours after the wedding.

Since then it’s been shared 1,200 times and liked nearly 5,000 times, garnering hundreds of comments.

Adriano told LGBTQNation there were some negative comments but the majority were positive and noted how far the military has come since it was illegal to be openly gay and serve in the armed forces, since the repeal of don't ask, don't tell.

According to LGBTQNation, the couple are moving to Waynesville, Mo. Adriano is station at Ft. Leonard Wood and is in his third year in the Army. Resz has been in the reserves for 18 months.
