Directed by Trudie Styler, Freak Show stars Alex Lawther as Billy Bloom, a gender-nonconforming teen who decides to run for homecoming queen. The film and the novel it's based on use he/his pronouns for Billy. Also featuring Laverne Cox and Abigail Breslin, the film was the closing-night presentation of the 2017 Outfest Los Angeles Film Festival.
