A Xena Reunion Is on Its Way

Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor

Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor on screen together again? Be still our gay hearts.

Not only is the Lucy Lawless-led mystery series My Life Is Murder returning for its second season on August 30, but it's also bringing along a very special familiar face. As if ripped from the pages of a Gen X queer gal's dream journal, fans of Xena will get the mini-reunion they've longed for when Renee O'Connor (aka Gabrielle) guest stars on an episode.

In the episode of the Acorn TV series, Alexa (Lawless) investigates the death of a self-help guru and finds herself in a cat-and-mouse game with the victim's mysterious wife (O'Connor). Sounds like an opportunity for lots of sexual tension (we hope).

O'Connor isn't the only former castmate that Lawless will be reuniting with this season. Anna Hutchison and Graham Vincent of Spartacus will also be making appearances, along with several other iconic guests, including William Shatner and Drag Race Down Under winner Kita Mean.

In season two, Alexa returns to her home country of New Zealand for the first time in years and, of course, can't help but end up being pulled into the investigation of a bizarre unsolved murder. She'll have the help of her partner-in-crime-solving, Madison Feliciano (Ebony Vagulans), as well as series newcomers, including the charismatic detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe) and cafe owner Reuben (Joe Naufahu).
