The New York Post reports that Jack Kerouacs Beat generation classic On the Road will be coming to the big screen, guided by out director Joel Schumacher. Francis Ford Coppola will be producing, and the author of The Sweet Hereafter, Russell Banks, will be doing the screenplay. Casting is not yet in place, though Billy Crudups and Brad Pitts names are being bandied about for the roles of Sal Paradise and his traveling partner, Dean Moriarty, respectively.
