The Professional Organization of Women in Entertainment Reaching UP has given awarded grants of $10,000-$25,000 to three screenwriters: Erin Eckles for Trapped, Michele Greene for Stigler, Oklahoma, and Angela Robinson for D.E.B.S. Grant winners were selected by members of POWER UP's honorary board of directors, including Jamie Babbit (But I'm a Cheerleader), Leslie Belzberg (producer, Coming to America; Honey, I Shrunk the Kids), Jehan Agrama (formerly of TV production-distribution company Harmony Gold), Lee Rose (The Truth About Jane), and Andrea Sperling (producer of the forthcoming film Prozac Nation).
