Out actress Lily Tomlin and Wolfe Video founder and CEO Kathy Wolfe will be honored with the California National Organization of Women's Excellence in Media award on February 27 in Los Angeles. Also to be honored this year will be media commentator-radio host-attorney Gloria Allred, president-general manager of KNBC TV in Los Angeles and NBC-Telemundo Los Angeles regional general manager Paula Madison, TV film producer Marian Rees, and The West Wing's Aaron Sorkin. "The media today have an unprecedented ability to affect culture and public policy," said national NOW president Kim Gandy. "This award recognizes professionals who set standards for excellence in the media and have captured the applause of feminists across the country. This event honors industry standouts who go against the grain in representing women and girls responsibly."
