Lesbian screenwriter Anne Meredith (Bastard Out of Carolina, Losing Chase) will have Robert Benton as director on her original screenplay Delmore Can't Dance, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Scott Rudin, who recently thanked his boyfriend from the podium of the Golden Globes when he was honored for Best Picture (Drama) for The Hours, will produce the project for Paramount. The story deals with a man who discovers that the woman with whom he is having a casual affair is already in a relationship--with another woman.
