Will Young tops U.K. chart for second week
Gay British Pop Idol winner Will Young found himself atop the U.K. singles charts for a second consecutive week on Monday with his song "Leave Right Now." In a top 10 loaded with new singles, Young's closest competition was the hip-hop act Black Eyed Peas, who hit second place with their brand-new song, "Shut Up." Young also bested his fellow Pop Idol alum, Gareth Gates, who was runner-up in the TV competition when Young won and whose career has been paralleling Young's ever since. Gates's new single, "Say It Isn't So," entered the chart at number 4, according to the Official UK Charts Co.
