New York Film Critics honor Craig Lucas's screenplay for The Secret Lives of Dentists
The New York Film Critics Circle has announced its awards for 2003, and the winners include out playwright and screenwriter Craig Lucas (Longtime Companion, Prelude to a Kiss) for his screenplay of the Alan Rudolph film The Secret Lives of Dentists, an adaptation of the Jane Smiley novella The Age of Grief. Harris Savides was also honored for his cinematography on Gus Van Sant's Elephant and Gerry.
