Out director Charles Herman-Wurmfeld (Kissing Jessica Stein, Legally Blonde 2) is acting as lab instructor for IFP/Los Angeles's directors lab. "We are thrilled to have a filmmaker who launched his career in the Los Angeles Film Festival [with Jessica Stein] teaching this year's lab," IFP executive director Dawn Hudson said in a statement. Lab participants include Joseph Anaya (The Pajama Gang), Martin Garner (Shinola), Anna Kang (Lost Tribe of Long Island), Shyam Madiraju (Broken), Mary Ann Marino (Pontiac Days), Carl Pfirman (Lucky Boy), Rebecca Sonnenshine (One of These Things First), and Mora Stephens (Georgia Heat). The lab runs through April 15.
