Strand Releasing will distribute The Dying Gaul, the directorial debut from out playwright and screenwriter Craig Lucas (Longtime Companion, The Secret Lives of Dentists), in North America this fall, according to indieWIRE.com. The psychological thriller, which screened Monday as the closing night of Los Angeles's Outfest, stars Advocate cover boy Peter Sarsgaard as a gay screenwriter who becomes enmeshed with a Hollywood executive (Campbell Scott) and his wife (Patricia Clarkson). Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will handle Gaul's eventual DVD and video release.
