Darren Star in a
pilot deal with UPN

Openly gay Sex and the City creator Darren Star has a new deal with UPN for a two-for-one pilot commitment, according to Variety. Star, along with his production company, are set to develop a pair of scripts for the network, after which UPN has committed to turning at least one of the projects into a pilot. Star has reportedly signed on as executive producer of the upcoming projects, which are expected to reflect Star's brand of hip yet adult-focused soap opera.
