Euan Morton, who starred as Boy George in the London and Broadway productions of Taboo, will play the lead role in two new operas by Tony Kushner and Maurice Sendak. Playbill Online reports that Brundibar and Comedy on the Bridge will be staged in California and New Haven, Conn., before opening in New York City in April of 2006. Brundibar deals with a sinister organ-grinder (to be played by Morton) who clashes with two children who try singing in town to raise money to help their sick mother, while Comedy is about a group of people trapped on a bridge between two rival armies.
