Billy Elliot wins major U.K. theater prize

The stage adaptation of Billy Elliot received the Best Musical prize at this year's Evening Standard Theatre Awards, reports the BBC. Composer Elton John, who accepted the award with lyricist Lee Hall, called the show, based on out director Stephen Daldry's Oscar-nominated film, "one of the most enjoyable things I've ever been involved with.
