Thanks to a new one-year, first-look deal announced Thursday, the short films of lesbian nonprofit studio POWER UP will soon be part of the Logo lineup.

The Viacom-owned LGBT network will air the shorts on The Click List: Best in Short Films program, which airs every Thursday evening. The series allows viewers to vote and award their favorite short films online.

"Logo was extremely impressed with the quality and talent of the POWER UP filmmakers," said Maureen Guthman, vice president of acquisitions and coproductions for Logo, in a statement. "We are very pleased to be able to have these films on our network."

During the deal's term, POWER UP will supply shorts to Logo on an exclusive first-look basis, along with short film concepts owned by POWER UP and short film concepts that can be developed into a series or special.

Past POWER UP shorts include Dani & Alice, D.E.B.S., and Billy's Dad Is a Fudgepacker. (The Advocate)
