The Logo network
announced Thursday that it has acquired three popular
gay and lesbian news-entertainment sites as part of its
continuing efforts to target online queer audiences.
AfterEllen.com, AfterElton.com, and 365gay.com have
joined the Web portfolio of the MTV-owned gay cable
channel. "The addition of these best-in-breed sites
continues to cement Logo's role as the leading
LGBT entertainment source in the living room, at an
Internet cafe on the other side of the world, and
everywhere in between," said Lisa Sherman,
senior vice president and general manager of Logo, in
a statement. The acquisitions are part of MTV Networks'
recent shopping spree, which has brought such sites as
XFIRE, Gametrailers.com, iFILM, and Neopets into the
company's fold. (The Advocate)
