Lawless and
Singer team up for Brit adaptation

Lucy Lawless is slated to play an athlete's spouse in an upcoming ABC series from out director Brian Singer. According to Variety, Lawless will play Tanya, the ruthless wife of a football player. Football Wives is based on the British production that depicts the life of professional soccer players' wives.

Lawless, who broke through in her role in Xena: Warrior Princess, has more recently captured a recurring role in the science fiction hit Battlestar Galactica. (The Advocate)
