       Lucy Lawless is
            slated to play an athlete's spouse in an upcoming ABC
            series from out director Brian Singer. According to
            Variety, Lawless will play Tanya, the ruthless
            wife of a football player. Football Wives is based on
            the British       production that depicts the life of
            professional soccer players' wives.     
       Lawless, who
            broke through in her role in Xena: Warrior Princess,
            has more recently captured a recurring role in the science
            fiction hit Battlestar Galactica. (The
