Alan Cumming
calls for greater political awareness

Out Scottish actor Alan Cumming is asking his fans to take a greater stand in global politics. He spoke to the U.K. newspaper The Independent about his frustration with public apathy.

"Why aren't we demonstrating and protesting anymore? In America I am shocked about how apathetic people are about politics," he said to the newspaper. "And I hate, hate, hate it when famous people say they're not political, because everyone is political. What they're really saying is that they're stupid." (The Advocate)
