Barrowman Wants Role as Gay Dad

Torchwood and Desperate Housewives star John Barrowman has asked the casting team of Glee to give him a role as one of the character Rachel's gay dads.

According to the Press Association, Barrowman told Heat, "I have no idea if I'll be in it, I met with their casting people and I said I'd love to be in it -- I'd be good as one of Rachel's gay dads!"

Barrowman said the decision now rests with Glee.

In addition to his Torchwood and Desperate Housewives roles, he is hosting Tonight's the Night on BBC 1.
