SNL producers have since responded by adding cast members and airing more sketches that showcase a diverse point of view. Gone are the days where Kenan Thompson would have to don a dress to play all female characters of color. This weekend's episode guest starred Chris Rock, a comedian who never shies away from uncomfortable discussions, especially about race.
Enter this brilliant sketch featuring a training video on "Dealing With Diversity" for '90s-era career gals. Cecily Strong and Kate McKinnon play host to the awkward training video while Rock plays a "diverse person." "Have you ever gone to work and had a diverse person try to talk to you and you didn't know where to look?" The hosts suggest that the only way to recover from offending a diverse person is to beat them at their own game. "Show up in a wheelchair and tell him you're a lesbian."
