Seattle's Lifelong AIDS Alliance, one of the largest AIDS service organizations in the Northwest, has received a record $1.3 million gift from the estate of Harvey Muggy and Donald Lothian, a gay couple who championed gay rights and AIDS activism in the city, the Seattle Times reports. Alliance director Tina Podlowski said the gift will help the organization maintain its programs, which include case management, emergency financial assistance, housing, nutrition counseling, and HIV prevention outreach. The Lifelong AIDS Alliance services about 5,500 clients each year.
