More than 10,000 people participated in the annual AIDS Walk Boston on Sunday, despite rainy conditions in the city, the Boston Herald reports. "The weather was not going to hold anyone back. People came out to make sure they raised money to fund programs to prevent the spread of disease," Rebecca Haag, executive director of the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, told the Herald regarding the event. AAC is the primary beneficiary of the fund-raiser. Organizers say the event typically raises about $1 million for the AIDS organization (The Advocate)
