Maharashtra is the latest of three states in India to ban sex education in schools, according to PinkNews.co.uk. The government announced the ban after lawmakers raised concerns that sex ed would corrupt students. Gujerat and Madhya Pradesh were the first states to ban a sex education curriculum.

India, with a population of more than 1 billion, has an estimated 5 million people living with HIV or AIDS. (The Advocate)
