Elton John to appeal ruling

Gay entertainer Elton John, who last April had his PS14 million claim against former business manager Andrew Haydon of John Reid Enterprises dismissed, is going to court to ask the same judge to grant leave to appeal the original decision, according to the BBC. The singer filed the original suit in order to reclaim tour expenses that he felt were wrongly being billed to him and not his management company. The judge dismissed the claim and left John stuck with an PS8 million legal bill in the bargain. The performer is expected to begin the process of filing his appeal on Wednesday. In the meantime, his auction of 20 luxury cars goes forward, although the stated motivation is not fund-raising but that the collector is too busy to drive them all and wants them to go to people who will have the time to properly appreciate them.
