Stephen Daldry to direct Adventures of Kavalier & Clay
Fresh from his acclaimed work directing the upcoming screen adaptation of Michael Cunningham's The Hours, filmmaker Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot) will be taking on another Pulitzer Prize-winning gay-inclusive novel: Michael Chabon's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay. Variety reports that the project will reunite Daldry with his openly gay Hours producer Scott Rudin. Kavalier & Clay is set in the early years of the American comic book industry.
