Brendan Fraser may go undercover in Gay Secret Agent

Variety reports that Brendan Fraser is negotiating to star in the espionage spoof Gay Secret Agent, about an openly queer spy. Developed by Austin Powers producers Suzanne and Jennifer Todd, the movie puts a unique spin on the genre. "He is the best secret agent in the world, and being gay helps him in the job, because he is charming and well-mannered, a great dancer, and an impeccable dresser," Suzanne Todd told Variety. "Brendan met on the project and did the character in the room, and we were all very impressed. We are shooting for a very broad, silly comedy." Gay Secret Agent was written by Saturday Night Live veteran Brad Hall and Andrew Gottlieb, who are working on a second draft.
