Here Films acquires Richard Day's Straight-Jacket
Here Films, Regent Entertainment's shingle for gay and lesbian cinema, has acquired worldwide rights to Richard Day's satire of 1950s Hollywood, Straight-Jacket, according to indieWIRE.com. The film tells a comical version of Rock Hudson's marriage to a female secretary in an attempt to conceal his sexual orientation. Day previously wrote and directed the outrageous drag comedy Girls Will Be Girls. Here plans to release Straight-Jacket theatrically in the fall.
