Cable networks compete for Taboo documentary

Syndicated columnist Liz Smith reports that cable networks HBO and Trio are in a bidding war over filmmaker Jennifer Lebeau's documentary that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the tension-fraught production of Broadway's Taboo. Smith reports that Taboo producer Rosie O'Donnell recently attended a screening in New York along with the show's stars Boy George, Euan Morton, Jeffrey Carlson, and Liz McCartney, all of whom responded favorably to the film.
