New releases include High Art on DVD and Assassins on CD
New in stores this week are Universal Home Video's release of High Art and the Broadway cast recording of the recent revival of Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, which won five 2004 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. The breakthrough feature from out director Lisa Cholodenko, High Art won widespread acclaim for its portrayal of a junkie photographer (played by Ally Sheedy) and her relationship with a young magazine editor (Radha Mitchell). Assassins is available on the gay-owned PS Classics label.
