The National Stonewall Democrats on Wednesday tapped Eric Stern to serve as the group's executive director. He will start on March 1. Stern has served as director of GLBT outreach at the Democratic National Committee since July 2003. "I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the executive director for the hardest-working LGBT Democratic activists in the country," said Stern in a statement. "The local efforts of these activists have offered our movement a winning example, and that is where Stonewall will continue to build upon our efforts." Stern is a native of Wadsworth, Ohio, and received his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston.
